Buckeye Brass and Winds Return Policy


We sincerely hope that you enjoy your purchases from us for many years to come, but we realize that there are some circumstances in which you may need to return your purchase.  In the event that you do need to return a purchase, please review our guidelines below.  Once you have reviewed these guidelines, we ask that you email us at [email protected] with your purchase information, including name, transaction number, date of purchase, and reason for the return. We will respond within two business days with instructions on how to proceed.  All returns must have the original invoice included with the returned item, in addition to any other items mentioned below.  The purchase price will be refunded to you via the original method of payment upon our receipt of the item.

 

New instruments ordered from stock and pre-owned instruments

Instruments may be returned up to seven days from your receipt of the instrument. Any returned instruments must be clean, in 100% original condition, include all of the original packing materials, accessories, warranty cards, etc., and are subject to a 10% restocking fee. New unlacquered instruments are subject to a cleaning fee. The buyer is responsible for shipping and insurance charges in both directions (buyer is responsible for any damage that occurs during return shipping). Custom and Special Order Instruments

Custom and special order instruments may be returned within fourteen days from your receipt of the instrument for consignment resale.   Unlacquered instruments are subject to a cleaning fee charge. The buyer is responsible for shipping and insurance charges in both directions (buyer is responsible for any damage that occurs during return shipping). Instruments kept more than fourteen days cannot be resold as new and return price will be pro-rated. Instruments kept over thirty days will be accepted for consignment under our regular consignment sale terms. Please contact the store for more details. Accessories

Accessories may be returned up to 7 days from receipt. Any returned accessories must be in new, resalable condition and include all the original packing materials, warranty cards, etc. The buyer is responsible for shipping and insurance charges in both directions (buyer is responsible for any damage that occurs during return shipping).  Buckeye Brass and Winds reserves final judgement on the salability of all returned items. Sheet Music and Method Books

No returns on sheet music and method books.


Mouthpieces

Mouthpieces and mouthpiece components may be returned for a refund within 7 days from the original delivery date with a 10% restocking charge. Mouthpieces kept 8 to 30 days may be returned for store credit less a 20% restocking charge. Mouthpieces kept over thirty days are non-returnable.

Mouthpieces and mouthpiece components to be returned for both brass and woodwind instruments must be in new, resalable condition, with original packaging and our invoice number. Light insertion marks on brass wind mouthpieces are acceptable, at our discretion.  However, woodwind mouthpieces with bite marks are non-returnable.  We recommend that you use a bite patch until you are 100% certain about your purchase.  

Components that have been damaged or modified in any way, custom components, or special orders are not returnable. The buyer is responsible for shipping and insurance charges in both directions (buyer is responsible for any damage that occurs during return shipping).  Buckeye Brass and Winds reserves final judgement on the salability of all returned items.  If you wish to return a mouthpiece or mouthpiece accessory please email us at [email protected] for return authorization.


Reeds
Reeds may only be returned unopened and the box in like-new condition and within 14 days of receipt. Please email us at [email protected] for return authorization.


Non-returnable items
The following items are not returnable: Gift cards, Oils/Lubricants, Cleaning Accessories, and any consumable products.  Ear plugs may only be exchanged if found to be defective.
